Voucher Policies

The Glacier Queer Alliance (GQA) serves as the fiscal sponsor for the Community Care Collective (CCC) and manages funds that offer financial support to queer, trans, and queer allied individuals in Montana seeking mental and physical wellness care. This support helps reduce the cost of sessions with therapists or counselors, chiropractors, life coaches, energy healers, yoga instructors, or other wellness providers.

Applicants should not apply if they currently have an active voucher.

1. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for a voucher, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Currently reside in Montana.

• Do not currently hold an active voucher from CCC. If you have received a voucher in the past, it must be fully used before reapplying.

• Be trans, queer, or queer allied identified

Vouchers must be used for services provided by wellness providers in Montana, including therapists, counselors, chiropractors, life coaches, energy healers, yoga instructors, or other wellness providers. Practitioners must obtain an active agreement to work with the CCC before funds are released.

2. Voucher Policies

CCC covers a maximum of up to $100 per appointment. Funds can be used for appointment fees and/or insurance copayments, and applicants with insurance are encouraged to use it. Each voucher provides a maximum of up to 4 sessions with your chosen provider.

Vouchers may also be used to cover outstanding balances for up to $400 with a licensed wellness provider who has an active agreement with the CCC. However, the voucher is not intended for debt relief but to reduce financial barriers to ongoing care.

Funds must be used within six months of receiving the voucher, although exceptions can be made for special circumstances. Keep in contact with CCC if you face delays in finding a provider or using your voucher.

You may apply for vouchers multiple times, but only when you do not currently hold an active voucher.

If you no longer wish to use your voucher, please inform CCC so that the funds can be reallocated to another applicant, as funding is limited.

3. Award Disbursement

Voucher funds are paid directly to your wellness provider. You must give your provider consent to share billing information, including your name and the date of service, with Community Care Collective and Glacier Queer Alliance, the CCC fiscal sponsor, for payment. This release of information is necessary in order to process the vouchers.

Privacy is a priority, and all personal information is kept confidential.

It is your responsibility to inform your provider of the voucher and ensure that they have an active agreement with CCC as only CCC approved providers may be paid. Providers are responsible for contacting CCC to initiate payment using the CCC invoice form.

To ensure continuous care, recipients are responsible for tracking their sessions and applying for subsequent vouchers once the initial four sessions have been used. CCC will notify recipients and providers when all four sessions have been used, but there may be a delay based on when final invoices are received.
